The Atlas® FM9SL is a 9,000 lb. flush-mounted in-ground scissor lift engineered for service facilities that need to maximize workspace efficiency without sacrificing lifting performance. Perfect for shops that prefer a clean, open-floor design, the FM9SL eliminates above-ground obstructions while maintaining full lifting capability for passenger cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks.
Unlike traditional “old-style” in-ground lifts, the Atlas® FM9SL requires only minimal excavation during installation. Its electric/hydraulic power unit is conveniently located for easy access during routine maintenance, ensuring reduced downtime and simplified service.
The flush-mounted platform design allows vehicles to drive over the lift from any direction, making it ideal for compact service bays or high-traffic areas where space optimization is critical. Both the front and rear platform extensions can be engaged when servicing long-wheelbase vehicles such as pickup trucks.
Because the lift features an open-center, crossbar-free design, operators must ensure proper vehicle placement — keeping the frame at least six inches from the inside edges of each platform. This helps distribute weight evenly and prevents “pigeon toe” platform distortion. For additional safety and stability when lifting narrow-frame vehicles, Atlas® recommends using the optional Scissor Lift Support Bar Kit, which spreads the load evenly across the lifting surface.
