The Atlas® TC229 Rim Clamp Swing Arm Tire Changer is a versatile and reliable machine ideal for homeowners, small automotive shops, and ATV or motorcycle service centers. It offers the same tire-changing capability and clamping range as the Atlas® TC221 but comes equipped with an integrated “Beadblaster” system. This system assists in inflating tough, stiff-sidewall, or otherwise difficult-to-inflate tires efficiently.
For those who expect to service larger pickup trucks (1-ton), large SUVs, or agricultural tires, upgrading to the Atlas® TC289 Tire Changer may be a better long-term option.
Like all Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers, the TC229 is engineered to handle both high-end alloy and standard steel wheels without causing damage. Its side-mounted bead breaker delivers powerful performance, breaking even rusted or stubborn beads without harming the rim. The turntable jaws, which can be fitted with protective plastic covers, securely grip the wheel while preventing surface damage. These jaws feature three adjustable positions, allowing for a wider range of clamping options and compatibility with various tire sizes.
