The lift utilizes a high-strength cable system combined with an oversized hydraulic cylinder mounted beneath the runways, powered by a 220V single-phase power unit. Unlike older chain-lift systems with exposed hydraulic cylinders—which are prone to leveling issues and potential vehicle door damage—the Atlas® 412A ensures a safer, more balanced lifting experience.

In addition to the heavy-duty features found on the Atlas® 412, the 412A includes precision alignment components such as built-in slip plates and adjustable turntables. The slip plates are perfectly leveled with the turntables, allowing for accurate wheel alignment on a wide range of vehicles. The turntables can be repositioned along the runway to accommodate various wheelbase lengths, and removable steel cover plates are included to convert the lift for general service use when alignment functionality isn’t needed.

The runways are also equipped with integrated tracks designed to accept rolling bridge jacks (recommended: Atlas® RJ6BK, sold separately), providing additional versatility for wheel-off service such as brake, tire, and suspension work.
