The Atlas TC229DAA is the TC229 rim-clamp tire changer with the Atlas DAA-SA dual assist arm package added, so one person can handle stiff-sidewall, low-profile and run-flat tires. The left arm has a pressing block and lifting disk and the right arm a bead roller and lifting disk. It also has a built-in Beadblaster, a 5,500 lb bead breaker and three-position jaws, and handles tires up to 39″ in diameter on 110V with shop air at 90–110 PSI. This unit also incorporates a built-in “Beadblaster” inflation system, designed to help seat even the toughest tire beads quickly and effectively. If you expect to work on larger tires, such as those for heavy-duty trucks, SUVs, or agricultural equipment, the Atlas® TC289 may be a better fit.
The Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers are built to service both high-end alloy wheels and standard steel rims without causing damage. The powerful side-mounted bead breaker easily handles rusted or stubborn beads, while the adjustable turntable jaws securely grip rims without marring their finish. The jaws offer three position settings to accommodate a wide range of wheel sizes, ensuring maximum flexibility in your shop.
