The Atlas® TC229DAA Rim Clamp Swing Arm Tire Changer is an excellent choice for homeowners, small repair shops, or ATV/motorcycle service centers. This upgraded TC229 model includes the Atlas® DAA-SA Dual Assist Arm Package — featuring a left-hand assist arm with a pressing block and lifting disk, and a right-hand arm equipped with a bead roller and lifting disk. These dual assist arms serve as an invaluable aid for handling stiff sidewall, low-profile, or run-flat tires, allowing a single operator to work more efficiently and safely.
This unit also incorporates a built-in “Beadblaster” inflation system, designed to help seat even the toughest tire beads quickly and effectively. If you expect to work on larger tires, such as those for heavy-duty trucks, SUVs, or agricultural equipment, the Atlas® TC289 may be a better fit.
The Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers are built to service both high-end alloy wheels and standard steel rims without causing damage. The powerful side-mounted bead breaker easily handles rusted or stubborn beads, while the adjustable turntable jaws securely grip rims without marring their finish. The jaws offer three position settings to accommodate a wide range of wheel sizes, ensuring maximum flexibility in your shop.
