The Atlas® Large Truck Adapter Set is designed for properly mounting wheels with larger-than-standard center holes on compatible Atlas® wheel balancers. While the standard cone adapter set included with Atlas® wheel balancers accommodates most wheels with center holes up to approximately 4 inches in diameter, many heavy-duty pickup truck and steel wheels feature larger center openings.
Atlas® wheel balancers are capable of handling these heavier wheel assemblies, but proper mounting is essential for safe and accurate balancing. When a wheel's center hole exceeds 4 inches, the Large Truck Adapter Set provides the appropriately sized cone needed to securely center the wheel assembly on the balancer's 40mm shaft.
The kit includes a large steel cone and spacer. Many larger pickup truck wheels use a BUDD-style design that positions more of the tire toward the inside of the rim. The included spacer moves the wheel farther away from the balancer, providing the necessary clearance to help prevent the tire from contacting the machine while the wheel assembly is spinning.
