Scissor Alignment Racks
A scissor alignment rack raises the vehicle on two long runways that lift from below, so there are no posts in the way when you walk around the car or swing alignment equipment into place. Most scissor alignment lifts include turntables and rear slip plates, and many add a second set of jacks or rolling jacks so you can lift the wheels free during the alignment.
How to Choose a Scissor Alignment Lift
- Capacity and wheelbase: 12,000 lb models like the Atlas 12ASL and AMGO AX-12A cover cars and light trucks. 16,000 lb models like the Atlas PX16A and AMGO AX-16A handle wheelbases from 96" to 184".
- Wheels-free lifting: The Atlas 12AWFSL has built-in wheels-free runway jacks, and the AMGO DX-12A adds a 9,000 lb secondary scissor.
- Jack packages: Atlas packages pair the 12ASL and 12AWFSL with an RJ-6 rolling jack and the PX16A with an RJ8.
- Surface or flush mount: The Atlas 12ASL and 12AWFSL can be surface- or flush-mounted. The PX16A is a surface-mount lift.

Scissor Alignment Lift FAQs
How much does a scissor alignment lift cost?

Scissor alignment lift or 4-post alignment lift?
A scissor alignment lift keeps the bay open with no columns and takes up less floor space. A 4-post alignment lift usually costs less and doubles as a storage lift.
Do scissor alignment lifts come with turntables?
Most of ours include turntables and slip plates. Check the included equipment on each product page.
Do I need a wheels-free jack?
A wheels-free jack lifts the vehicle off the runways so the wheels hang free for suspension adjustments and tire work during an alignment. Some lifts include one, and Atlas packages add a rolling jack.
