Heavy-Duty 4-Post Truck Lifts
A heavy duty 4 post lift is built for vehicles that are too heavy, too long or too wide for a home storage lift. Longer, wider runways and higher capacities make a 4 post truck lift the right choice for dually pickups, work vans, box trucks, buses and fleet vehicles, and the drive-on design means you never have to find lift points under a heavy frame. Car Lift Direct carries 4-post lifts from 12,000 to 40,000 lb from Atlas, AMGO, Triumph, Tuxedo, iDEAL, Daytona and Katool.
How to Choose a Heavy-Duty 4-Post Lift
- 12,000–14,000 lb: The most popular range for shops and serious garages working on 3/4-ton and 1-ton pickups, SUVs and vans. Examples include the Atlas 412 and 414, AMGO PRO-12 and PRO-14, Tuxedo FP12K-K and FP14K, and iDEAL FP14KC-X.
- 16,000–18,000 lb: For dually trucks, cutaway vans and light commercial vehicles, like the Triumph NTR-16 and AMGO PRO-18.
- 24,000–40,000 lb: For box trucks, buses, RVs and heavy fleet vehicles, like the Triumph NTR-24 and NTR-32 and the AMGO PRO-30 and PRO-40. Extended-length models like the AMGO PRO-40E fit longer wheelbases.
- Alignment-ready: Heavy-duty alignment lifts like the Atlas 412A and 414A, AMGO PRO-14A and PRO-18A, Daytona LFPA14 and LFPA24, and Katool KT-4H150 are built for wheel alignment work. Check each product page for included turnplates and slip plates.
- ALI certification: The Atlas Platinum PVL14 and PVL14OF-EXT are ALI certified, which many commercial shops and insurers look for.
- Jacks and packages: Packages like the Atlas 414 + RJ8, Triumph NTR-24 and NTR-32 with (2) RJ-15000 rolling jacks, and AMGO PRO-12SX + J6A add rolling jacks for wheels-free brake and suspension work.

What size 4-post lift do I need for a truck?
Choose a lift rated well above your heaviest vehicle's weight. A 12,000–14,000 lb lift handles most 3/4-ton and 1-ton pickups and vans. Dually trucks and loaded work trucks often call for 14,000–18,000 lb, and box trucks, buses and RVs need 24,000 lb or more. Also check runway length and width against your longest and widest vehicle.
Is a 12,000 lb 4-post lift enough for a dually?
Often, as long as the vehicle's weight is under the rated capacity and the runways are wide and long enough for the wheelbase and rear track. Many shops choose 14,000 lb or more for duallies to leave extra margin. Compare drive-through width and maximum wheelbase on each product page.
Do heavy-duty 4-post lifts need special concrete or power?
Higher-capacity lifts are heavier and are typically anchored, so they usually need thicker or stronger concrete than a home storage lift. Many commercial lifts also run on 220V. Check the installation manual and power requirements on each product page before you order.
Can I do alignments on a heavy-duty 4-post lift?
Yes, if you choose an alignment model. Alignment lifts are designed to work with turnplates and rear slip plates; each product page lists what's included. See the heavy-duty alignment models in this collection or our full alignment lifts collection.
